DC METRO ( RECOMMENDED): 

 

DC UNDERGROUND METRO: The Polo Games are accessible from the Smithsonian Underground Metro (orange & blue lines). A shuttle will run continuously from the Smithsonian Metro (Exit station using 12TH ST SW & INDEPENDENCE AVE SW exit) to West Potomac Park between the hours of 1:45 pm and 6:55 pm.

 

 DRIVING DIRECTIONS:

PARKING: Parking is traditional Washington DC, scarce :)  Therefore, we encourage you to use the metro. There are public, non-reserved parking lots located under the 14th Street bridges and along Ohio Avenue by arriving on time. A shuttle bus will also run continuously from Lots A, B & C.  These parking lots to West Potomac Park between the hours of 2pm and 6:55 pm.  Polo goers will be picked up in front of Parking Lot C.

SECURITY NOTICE:
The America's Polo Cup is secured at all points and all fenceline permiters by the United States Park Police and other applicable law enforcement agencys due to the nature of the special guests in attendace.  Your e-Ticket, Credential if applicable and Valid Photo ID will be required to enter the Polo/Concert Field Venue - please be prepared for efficient and safe check points.  We thank you for your cooperation.  America's Polo Cup, US Government Agencys and respective hired Law Enforcement, reserves the right to refuse admission or remove ticket holders or pubilc guests without giving a reason.  

Upon Entering the VIP Reserved Tents, Marshalls will assist all Guests whom are subject to screening and search.

If you are found in the reserved area of the venue without a valid credential, you will be removed and charged accordingly.

What is NOT permitted for 2010 in Reserved Pre-Ticketed Areas:

No coolers, No Pets, No Liquids, No self Catering, No open containers in parking lots, No Open Flames, No Tailgating, No outside alcohol, No BYOB, No Weapons, No Sharp Objects, No Picketing, No Advocating, No Protesting, No insulting attire or similar activities without prior written approval by the America's Polo Cup.

All guests and handbags subject to search.

All Alcohol and other liquids such as bottled water must be purchased at the Venue within the secured perimeter.  

What is permitted for 2010 for General Admission or Concert Tickets?

Small Lawn Chairs, Small umbrellas, Blankets for lawn seating or polo field seating for the Concerts.  

Childrens food, specialty food or medicine for you or your children.

NOTE: The National Park Services has concession stands adjacent to the Lincoln Memorial.

WHAT TO WEAR ON FOR FRIDAY NIGHTS ROCKIN THE RUNWAY FASHION SHOW & EVENING ENTERTAINMENT?
LADIES & MEN:  Black Tie preferred.  Fashionable, Chic & Fun is the key for this outrageously fun evening of tasting the best of the best from Australia & USA at the Rockin the Runway Fashion Show.   Black Tie is Optional.  Personality is required.

WHAT TO WEAR ON SATURDAY IF YOU ARE IN A VIP RESERVED TENT/MARQUEE?
LADIES:  Fashionable, Fabulous & Fun is the key.   Elegant Sundresses or chic slacks are best choices. Smart Shoes recommended such as Flats or wedges especially during the Divot Stomp. Hats are recommended with awards going to the best hats! 

MEN:  Proper Attire is expected through the afternoon. Seersucker or fashionable stylish outfits are preferred.   Spring or Summer Sports Jackets are recommended during the afternoon polo match.   America's Polo Cup Ties are available online for pre-purchase from Brooks Brothers.  Wear a America's Cup Official tie, and you will have front of line access to all bar areas.  

WHAT TO WEAR ON SATURDAY FOR PUBLIC LAWN SEATING?
LADIES:  Polo DC Fun is the key.   Comfortable and appropriate to sit on your blanket for Lawn guests.   Smart Shoes recommended such as elegant sandles or Flats   Bring a sweater if it gets cool at night during the evening concerts & fireworks show.

MEN:  Proper Attire for lawn seating includes proper shorts, and or proper jeans with  Button Down shirts, Polos or stylish sweaters.
